Man Driving in a Car with a Pioneer Apple CarPlay Radio

Don't Settle For The Stereo That Came With Your Car

Whether you bought your vehicle last year or last century, you're not stuck with the car stereo receiver (we also call them head units, decks, and radios) that came with your car.

Here at Freeman's Car Stereo we are authorized in-store and online retailers of the best car stereo brands in the industry: Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Jensen, Alpine, and SirusXM.

Why Should You Replace Your Car Stereo?

Pioneer Apple CarPlay

 1. Get A Stereo That's Easier To Use

Unless you bought your vehicle very recently, it's unlikely that it came with the latest in-car technology that can keep you seamlessly connected and entertained while you drive. And even if it did, unlike car companies, aftermarket car stereo receiver manufacturers are able to focus entirely on producing the best stereos available. Here are some new tech enhancements that our customers typically ask for:

Apple CarPlay

Apple CarPlay Icon Logo
Apple CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone while you drive and you don't need a new car to get it, you just need a new car stereo. It allows drivers to access their crucial iPhone apps using their car stereo instead of their phone directly.
Depending on the receiver model, CarPlay can be used by plugging an iPhone into a USB port on a CarPlay compatible receiver or wirelessly via a combination of Bluetooth and a built-in Wi-Fi network. After an iPhone is paired with a wireless CarPlay compatible receiver, CarPlay can be accessed as soon as the driver hops in their vehicle—they don't even have to touch their phone!

Some Of Our Favorite Things Apple CarPlay Can Do:
  • Siri voice control for hands free calling, texting, and listening to voicemail.
  • Siri can read, reply, and send texts so you don't have to ever look at your phone while driving.
  • Apple Maps has spoken directions, and can even predict where you're going based on your calendars, contacts, texts, and emails. If Apple Maps isn't your thing, you can also use your favorite navigation app like Google Maps and Waze.
  • Ask Siri to play your favorite song and see your favorite album art and song information displayed on screen.
  • Calendar can give you a quick overview of your day without you having to take your eyes off the road.

Other Compatible Apps:

Android Auto

Android Auto works a lot like Apple CarPlay does only with your Android phone. Connect your phone to your car display—your Android apps show up onscreen, just like that. Tap to get driving directions or talk to send a text. Even call your mom, hands-free. Android Auto is made to help you focus on the road. And have fun along the way. Just plug in and go.

Some Of Our Favorite Things Apple CarPlay Can Do:

  • Google Assistant voice commands keeps your eyes on the road.
  • Get real-time alerts with Google Maps and Waze.
  • Google Assistant can read your texts and chats out loud and allow you to speak your reply.
  • Play your favorite audio via your favorite audio apps like Spotify and iHeart Radio.

Bluetooth, Built-In GPS, USB, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and A/V Ports

Even if you don't choose an Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatible receiver, you can still get a lot of smartphone connectivity via receivers equipped USB, Bluetooth, and A/V connections.

Receivers with HD Radio provide an enhanced music listening experience that includes clearer sound, and engaging visuals like artist info, album art, and station info.

Finally, a SiriusXM satellite radio ready receiver (subscription required) means accessing live sports, music channels, talk radio, and more anywhere in the world with or without cell service.

2. Update the appearance of a car with the new look of an updated receiver

A car may have some miles but that doesn't mean its owner is ready to give it up.  If you can relate to this, you're not alone. The average age of cars on the road these days is about 11 years!  Updating your car stereo in your dash is an easy way to make your car look and act newer than it is.

3. Improve the sound of an existing car stereo system

As technology in your car has advanced, so has its installation.  If you're looking to put a new car stereo receiver in your car, we can help you find the unit that fits your ride and install it correctly and safely.  Freeman's Car Stereo is an authorized dealer of the top brands in car stereo like Pioneer, Kenwood, and Jensen.

Testimonials

"They did a custom install of head unit, four speakers, amp and kicker subwoofer in my show car. Top notch service, fast install, on time delivery. I could not be more pleased with what they did. Highly recommended. They will do all my audio going forward."

— Thomas C. Google Reviews - January 2020

"I have been a customer for years now and have never been disappointed! I have had everything from inverters and emergency lights installed for my work van, to a radio installed for my personal truck. They even install truck bed covers! Travis and Josh both helped tremendously. Top notch customer service! Very knowledgeable and do super clean installs that look like they were from the factory. Can't go wrong here. I'll continue using them with confidence.."

Sincerely yours,
